Dress advice

When should you start looking for your wedding dress?

It's often the first big step of the preparations… and the one that makes you dream the most. But when should you start, to enjoy it rather than stress over it?

The right moment: 8 to 12 months before

As a general rule, I recommend starting your dress search 8 to 12 months before the wedding. It's the ideal pace: early enough to take your time, without rushing, and close enough for your choice to truly reflect who you are on the big day.

Why plan ahead, especially for bespoke

A bespoke dress takes a little time: it needs to be designed, crafted with care, then fitted and adjusted. By planning ahead, you give yourself the most precious luxury — peace of mind. You refine every detail calmly, without a race against the clock.

And if you feel "late"?

Don't panic. Even a few months before the date, a lovely solution is almost always possible. The key is to talk early: from our very first appointment, I tell you clearly what is achievable given your timeline, with complete transparency.

My PROMÉA advice

Don't look for "the" dress right away. Come first to feel, try, and let yourself be surprised. Very often, the right dress isn't the one you had imagined — it's simply the one in which you feel fully yourself.
